We booked well in advance for a special birthday dinner. We were given great wine recommendations and both our meals were memorable and stood out as some of the best in our visit to France. The gardens, music and wonderful staff made this evening very special. Highly recommend.
Fantastic restaurant, with delicious food, service, friendly and warm atmosphere and well priced. The location is so unusual but do not be put off, because the restaurant is worth it! Five minutes drive to the airport, so it is perfect for a lunch before a flight. Car parking opposite. Definitely a favourite restaurant in the area! The cassoulet is probably the best I have had in the area. We will return!
My girlfriend found this place on TripAdvisor where it was described correctly as a 'hidden gem'. From the outside you'd never guess how cozy and iconic it looks on the inside. The gate opened at 19:30, about a dozen other guests were waiting outside, which is a good sign... And we walked in through the arch into a oasis of tranquility and colours We were welcomed warmly by the staff and an elderly couple who we assumed are the owners of this beautiful place We ordered a mocktail and two soda's to start, the lady gently asked whether we'd like some wine which we declined because I don't drink alcohol when I have to drive and my girlfriend doesn't drink alcohol at all. We both ordered the steak au poivre with two different types of cooking and they had a clever way of putting little flags in the meat , one for bleu, one for saignant. It was delicious! This was our 5th restaurant visit this week and so far the best in the entire region if it comes to the food! The staff and female owner stayed very warm and friendly throughout our visit. Unfortunately we can't say the same about the male owner who would come check and ask rather forcibly and indignant that we wouldn't order any wine. And after we respectfully declined ... He looked at me with anger in his eyes. We could see him be very polite and friendly towards other people... Who ordered wine. A bit later I saw him walk in our direction and wanted to ask him for the check and he didn't stop, just passed us while looking angry. This attitude left us bewildered and shaken to be honest. We don't speak perfect French but we try, we dressed decent for our visit, we try to be as friendly and respectful as we can wherever we travel. But we have our own principles, for me it's 0% alcohol when I have to drive. Normally when the food is this good we would leave a handsome tip, this time we didn't because of this unfortunate situation Except for him, great service from the rest of the staff. The interior is fantastic! Without a doubt this place has the most awesome and iconic toilet you've ever seen! So, great place to visit and dine at, if you drink wine
One of the best meals I have had in years. The setting and service were next level, and the food - I was not ready for that! Absolutely delicious, give this chef a Michelin star! I even had a goats cheese ice cream - try it, its amazing! Affordable, friendly and relaxed vibe. Owned by a lovely family who all took the time to introduce themselves to us. SO AMAZING!!!
Absolutely superb restaurant, hidden gem with a beautiful terrace. Excellent service and the food was delicious. Prawn starter, beef cheek main and chocolate fondant dessert were all top notch. Would highly recommend!
Le Jardin d’Estagnol is delightful - you have a choice of how to construct your menu with variations at every price - there are specials in addition and a well priced wine local wine list - I would go back in a second - this is a fab place with good food and great service
Amazing restaurant, fairly priced and very welcoming staff! Book in advance, and if you call from a phone number which is not French, start with +33 4, not +33 04 (doesn't work otherwise)!
This is the most lovely restaurant that I have ever visited in France. We were made to feel very welcomed. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. The seating areas outside are beautiful, there was a good range of nice background music playing. We ate from the 20€ menu and the food was amazing, well presented and very tasty. Everything was very clean. This is a handy place to visit if you are going to or coming from the airport as its not too far from there. We will definitely be going back.
